Ameer, Jamaaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, and JI Secretary- General, Liaqat Baloch, have expressed deep grief over the sad demise of the Imam of the Holy Kaa'ba, Al-Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdullah Sabayyal. In a condolence message here, they said that the services of the Sheikh for the Ummah's unity and the supremacy of Islam would be long remembered.

They said that as Imam of the Holy Kaa'ba, the deceased had been the true leader of the Ummah and had played his role in a most befitting manner. The deceased, he said, had been supervising the Hajj arrangements and ensuring all possible facilities to the pilgrims. In his death, they said, the Ummah lost a guide and leader of high status. They prayed that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace.
